Irina Depler (Founder)

Russian Academy of  Ballet, Alafaya in East Orlando  was founded in 2000 by Russian Ballet professionals and master teachers, Vadim Fedotov and Irina Depler.  RABA is known throughout Orlando as the premiere Russian method ballet school. This family owned and operated school is the school in residence for Ballet Fedotov, a pre-professional Ballet Company.

Before opening their company in 2000, both Fedotov and Depler worked three years for the Southern Ballet Theatre as Ballet Masters and Principal Teachers. In 2001, they created the non for profit ballet company, Ballet Fedotov, Inc. In 2003, Fedotov and Depler became Artistic Director and Executive Director for the Orlando City Ballet and began their work for both of their ballet studios, Bumby Avenue and Tuskawilla Road. After outgrowing the Tuskawilla studio, they opened a brand new 4000 square foot studio in Waterford Lakes, the heart of East Orlando.

Vadim Fedotov (Founder)

Vadim Fedotov, credentials include: Guest Choreographer and former Principal dancer for National Ballet of Ukraine (Shevchenko’s National Opera of Ukraine); Honor Artist of Ukraine, Laureate International Ballet competition for choreographers; Artistic Director and choreographer for many companies around world: Spain, Japan, Serbia, Russia, Ukraine, Canada, Latvia, South America, USA.

Irina Depler’s credentials include: Principal Teacher- former Principal dancer for National Theater of Ukraine; Principal teacher for many professionals Ballet schools in Ukraine, USA and around world. Teacher for many professionals Ballet competitions in Kiev, Moscow, Sent Petersburg, Paris, New York.

This season 2015-2016 Russian Ballet Alafaya and Ballet Fedotov will present our International Ballet Gala on October 16, 2015. Fedotov’s family will Celebrate 15 years in business with Russian Ballet of Orlando, School of Russian Ballet (Sarasota) and Russian Ballet Alafaya. The Nutcracker in Decemebr, and we will have the World Premier of our new production, Snow Queen, a ballet in 2 acts, in the spring of 2016. We will finish out the year with our annual recital at the end of June.
